I was a substitute teacher in NY. Also a bus monitor with the school district. Every Saturday for 2 years, I was nanny to a then newborn and three year old. Currently, I work with preschool and school aged children with autism.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Safety first! Following that is fun. I promote structure and routine, but also keep it light and fun. Screen time has its place, but I believe being outside and active is more important. When indoors, fun with learning, eating a nutritious meal and being productive are key.
