The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny is a rewarding job. You get to watch a child grow in real-time, support, and teach them new things and celebrate early experiences they have in life. It familiarizes you in being a parent and equips you in dealing with your kids and in others helps you relieve parenting again.

I can assure you that there needs to be a curiosity and immense patience in childcare. I may have to improvise, adapt, and be adept in communication with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Oh, there were so many wonderful happy moments.

Building a massive pillow fort to read picture books in.
Helping the kids create a cardboard maze and castle for the family’s hamster.
Making homemade ice cream.
Watching the kids put on a talent show for me and an audience of toys.
Talking the kids to a park and rolling down the grassy hill together until I was dizzy, then watching them continue to roll for another half hour.
Combining two or more board games for a mega game board that had a million rules, no way to win or lose, but was somehow still fun.
Challenging everyone to talk in funny voices or avoid using a certain word for the whole afternoon, with small prizes for the participants.
Stapling folded paper into blank booklets and helping the kids write and illustrate their own stories.
Basically, any chance to be creative and go all in on fun activities.
