Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been a nanny/babysitter for over 10 years. I’ve been a teacher for 5 years. I have also been a volunteer at a summer camp for disabled children for 9 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I think a nice balance of indoor/outdoor activities makes a day great! From puzzles and books to going swimming or to the park! Expressing creativity through coloring or chalk! I also think it’s important to work on developing life skills through practicing practical skills as well!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure your child is cared for in all aspects: mentally, physically, emotionally, etc. Having a happy, healthy child is incredibly gratifying and I love being a small part of your child’s life when given the opportunity!

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with children with on the spectrum, children with muscular dystrophy and similar physical disabilities, as well as, children with Down syndrome.

The most important part about being a nanny...

This past summer, I worked with a little boy and every Wednesday we would go to the park and read. Over the course of a few weeks, I got to watch as he discovered he could also read! At the end of the month, he was reading to me!
