"Jessica is educated and does very well with children. She is such a caring person. My son loved her. She is very respectful and is really fun. Only reason we stopped using her is because we moved out of state. I would recommend Jessica to anyone to care for their children."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
A respite provider for children is a trained caregiver who offers temporary, short-term care for children—especially those with special needs, medical conditions, or behavioral challenges—so that the primary caregiver (often a parent or guardian) can take a much-needed break.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Creative Arts & Crafts – From finger painting to DIY projects, I love encouraging kids to express themselves through art.
• Reading Together – Story time is one of my favorite parts of the day! I enjoy bringing books to life and helping children develop a love for reading.
• Outdoor Adventures – Nature walks, scavenger hunts, sidewalk chalk, and playground fun keep us active and connected to the world around us.
• Imaginative Play – Whether it’s building blanket forts, playing pretend, or creating puppet shows, I love seeing kids explore their imagination.
• Music & Dance – Singing songs, dancing around the living room, or making music with simple instruments brings so much joy and energy.
• Educational Games – I enjoy incorporating learning through play—counting games, letter recognition, puzzles, and more.
• Mindfulness & Calming Activities – Gentle stretches, breathing exercises, or quiet story circles help children regulate their emotions and wind down.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Building trust and forming a meaningful connection with both the child and their family. Being a nanny is more than just supervising—it’s about creating a safe, nurturing space where a child feels seen, supported, and free to be themselves. It means being reliable, emotionally present, and adaptable to each child’s unique needs and personality. When a child feels safe and loved, they thrive—and to be a part of that growth is both an honor and a responsibility I take seriously.
My experience with special needs children...
I have hands-on experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities, providing personalized care tailored to each child’s unique needs. I understand the importance of patience, structure, and communication—whether using visual schedules, sensory-friendly activities, or behavior support strategies.
In addition, I’ve worked in group home settings with children and teens facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and behavioral disorders. In these roles, I provided emotional support, crisis de-escalation, and helped implement therapeutic routines in collaboration with clinical staff.
This background has given me the tools to create safe, stable, and encouraging environments where all children—regardless of ability—feel seen, heard, and supported.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when a nonverbal child with autism I had been working with for several weeks looked me in the eyes, gently took my hand, and smiled for the very first time. We had been building trust through sensory play and quiet one-on-one time, and that simple gesture meant everything. It was a powerful reminder that connection doesn’t always require words—just patience, presence, and genuine care. Moments like that are why I love what I do.

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in Taylors, SC: Karie C.
I’m a mom of four grown boys, so I’ve spent most of my life raising kids and being around their friends, activities, and all the different personalities that come with that. I’m very calm and patient, but I also like to keep kids engaged, whether that’s being outside, doing crafts, or just finding ways to make everyday things fun.
I naturally work in little life lessons like patience, respect, and resilience just through how I interact with them. My goal is always for kids to feel safe, happy, and understood. Also, for parents to feel completely comfortable knowing their child is in good hands.
