A little bit about me

Hello! I have been nannying since I moved here in 2018 for college. I have not added every job I have worked, because some have been only for short amount of times, due to situations such as covid outbreaks and job changes. I have worked with kiddos from 0-12 and I adore every age - especially infants! I was going to Western to earn a degree in Elementary Education, but recently left the program. Working with young kids is my biggest passion. Meeting a family to connect with and become part of their family is an amazing experience. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have five years of an education degree under my belt, which includes student teaching for a bit of time with both Kindergarten and 2nd graders. I have also worked in schools during practicums for elementary-aged children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love music, so any child I nanny I try to include music into our days - including singing and dance parties! I also love to read with children, go to the park with them, play pretend, and make forts.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My approach to nannying is kindness first, we could all use more empathy in this world, and I believe it helps children grow into happy and healthy adults.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for a 12-year-old boy with autism for a little over a year. I helped him get ready for school in the morning, I picked him up from school, and I took him to therapy at the end of the day.

The most important part about being a nanny...

At the end of a day while watching two little girls, when their parent came home and it was time for me to leave, they both gave me the biggest hug and asked if I could stay a bit longer and maybe come over on the weekends. One of these girls was extremely shy and had not been very affectionate yet towards me- it melted my heart!
