I have been a Camp Counselor for two years at the theatre camp I went to when I was younger. I have also volunteered for my family friend's daycare and volunteered for a camp.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a very active person so I love playing sports or playing at the park with the kids. I also have always loved board games so I am always willing to teach and play board games with the kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The two most important things for me are safety and having fun. I always want to make sure the kids are safe and feel safe, including feeling comfortable enough to be themselves and enjoy themselves freely. I will always have boundaries if it leads to hurting someone, but I always want the kids to know they have someone else to lean on and have more fun with.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have any experience with kids with special needs but am willing to take more classes and research to help out and understand.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments nannying was creating a random song during lunch time and performing it for the rest of the day with the kids. I love being creative with them! Especially when it comes to music since that's been my whole life.
