I worked with a local non-profit and was part of their 13-18-year-old group. This group was social, educational, and sometimes a bit of a support group for the kids. I tutored some of them and chaperoned events in my organization.

Games, YouTube, crafts, writing, English tutoring/homework, telling bad jokes, watching movies, storytime, and listening -- I love a good story from someone 20+ years younger or older than me.

Meeting the needs of the family, setting a good example, and being there without being imposing.

My experience with special needs children...

I have assisted children, teens, and adolescents (up to 29 years old) who have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I have caregiver experience with CF (Cystic Fibrosis) clients, CP (Cerebral Palsy) patients, and later-in-life disabled and/or blind clients.

The most important part about being a nanny...
