I’ve always loved working with kids of different ages and have been the designated nanny of all of my younger cousins in the past. In addition to this, I have 3 years of experience working as a behavior therapist for children ages 2-9 years old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of the best indoor activities include fun sensory activities such as making slime and sensory bags. Other indoor activities include solving puzzles, playing with dolls or toy cars, and building indoor forts. Outdoor activities are a great way to also strengthen our children’s motor development! Activities outdoors include obstacle course, hopscotch, and playing with a ball.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve had experience with children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and children with down syndrome in a structured setting. I’ve had experience in a home setting with children with ASD where I was given the responsibility of watching over two kiddos for the afternoon while their parents went on a date. I did this several times and had such a lovely time.
