Live-in position requested. My kids HAVE KIDS & are grown and live in So. California & Florida, I’m in the middle! I enjoy working and caring for all kids or adults. I like to make a difference in their lives. I find this not only improves my life but also the family I work for. I clean, cook, scrub / launder things & people. Mend by hand & machine sewing. Teach simple cooking needle crafts too. Reading is favored. W/reimbursement Do shopping/ outings, appointments and parks, schools, caged get veterinary trips. Full service w/ commensurate pay. TBD ie. 12 hour days living onsite min $650.00 to be paid direct to my account deposited weekly. Plus any reimbursements. Please note I don’t borrow and I don’t loan. We need to be and do our best to be successful in any endeavors. Teamwork lets us do many things.. I’m not perfect but I like to keep things simple/fair ,not as stressful as could be. Youngest boy, Mild Spectrum Autistic; His 2 older brothers ADHD.
I had recommended shaping habits which over time guided daily habits provide strong daily routine of rising at specific times, making beds, morning hygiene to include touching up mirror and sink basin, replacing caps on tooth paste etc.. Hang face towels./ replace trash bags. Dressed, & dirty clothes to laundry room.. Boys #1&2 daily tasks dogs & chickens fed/watered. Boy #3 after hygiene worked styling his hair. ALEXA played BROADWAY’S ANNIE before meeting his bus. Bringing out his happier-brighter cooperative efforts he pleasantly carried out further throughout his days. I suggested more individual recognition with 1on 1 time to support their identities as well as their position as caring and growth toward becoming fully functional responsible adults . Reminded them to say prayers before bed, I encouraged to do 3 good deeds helping others without being asked. So proud of their progress

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Per ability: Rocking in time to music, rolling colored balls, cardboard boxes ;play under a flat sheet; draw& coloring/ / paper construction ; making& tossing bean bags into cups etc. wrap toys as prizes; little block bingo ( I have wooden blocks) we draw bingo cards & cut pieces crackers/ grapes or M&M’s m’mallows, they can eat them , cut out/write in numbers match on the blocks pick out of a cup; winner chooses “mystery” prize: their toys are wrapped prizes ! Scotch tape is a welcome prize to most kids for making hats, super hero gloves, everything imaginable from butterflies to kites. Construction and typing paper make holiday decorations/ greeting cards. Crayons and watercolor markers lend to creativity. Painting water over watercolor markers is fun for most children and adults. Conversational skills improve with practice.TV is best limited to increase social skills & respectful relationships not isolating mental acuity from being present. Manners & proper English 👍

The most important part about being a nanny...

Most importantly paying attention to each little hearts activities making progress and shaping the outcome so all tasks are the goal best effort get completed throughout the day.
Awareness, proper response, respect and reliability. Important to limit electronic devices and promote conversation with increasing vocabulary for better comprehension that lasts a lifetime. Reading and creative activities develop individual’s personality. Caring for pets and doing crafts develops confidence and recognition.

My experience with special needs children...

ADD; mild spectrum Autism two concurrent years with three siblings 5, 7 & 9 years of age. Cared: cook/ clean/ laundry/ arts &crafts, Reading and vocabulary building/ manners and caring for each other. Helping each other and basic chores increasing proficiency over time. Focusing on their homework and reinforcing responsibilities with recognition; understanding promotion ykndness and respect.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The youngest boy shared his thoughts on how well I cared for them telling me “Miss Jill, you’re an angel 😇. You’re so kind and you let us make good food . We have fun and make oatmeal cookies!” Made sure the cookie jar had cookies for the weekend before I went home to my friends house. The boys were challenging at times but we remained focused on being our best and having consequences must be accepted, adjusting over time diminishing acting out. Wonderful little hearts. Reminding them that “We love each other. WE are a family! 💕
