I ran an apartment with 3 adult women for a few years and then did childcare work for the ymca elementary and middle school program. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Provided before-, after-school, and summer camp care for elementary and middle school children for the YMCA, including lifeguard duties for around 150 kids during a day.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going on outtings to the park, museums, and other local events and attractions. I also enjoy doing crafts and science experiments at home. I try and bring fun activities that also introduce kids to skills that they could want to explore more and build practice in. I love helping kids develop early interests and passions.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs populations is within the adult community. That being said, I do have 4 years of residential experience, assisting with ADLs, following care plans, providing behavioral interventions, attending routine medical appointments, and passing daily medications. I am CPR/First Aid certified and have passed PA state training for first aid and medication administration and review.
