Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
At the age of 16, I was elected to be a Sunday school teacher at my local church. I remained a teacher there working with 2nd-3rd graders up until I left for college at 18. In college, I worked for a company called Fox Valley Autism for 2 and a half years where I met with different children throughout the day to work on specific goals, including homework and different ways to learn things. I was also a nanny for 3 years in Green Bay for a family that had a 2, 3, and 5 year old when I started. I would nanny for up to 9 days straight while their parents were on business trips.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to reward children with activities. I enjoy getting outside as much as we can. This includes going to parks, playing out in the yard, and taking trips to any other fun places in the area. I love crafting and doing art projects, as well.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience at Fox Valley Autism, and working with over ten different children over the period of time I worked there has given me so much experience with many different ages.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My most memorable nanny moments have been when working with a child on achieving a particular goal, and they finally succeed in it. There's nothing more fulfilling than seeing a child proud of themselves, and when their hard work has paid off!
