I work with children ever since I was a team started that local library in the summer program when I was a kid went to college and worked small private school worked for Texas A&M extension office and worked with 4 H children. Later on, I worked at Hayscisd which I currently still do. I worked as a paraprofessional working with special-needs children. And currently I work with children of all ages as a guest teacher.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a paraprofessional With children ranging from 3 to 4 years old, who had special needs like children with autism children, Down syndrome, children, and other development delay of children . I also have substituted as a guest teacher for many years from pre-K all the way up to middle school high school when I was younger and college I worked in afterschool cares at the schools and I also worked with 4 h kids . In the 4 h club, I got to teach science and nutrition.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to paint with children. I have made slime with children. We have collected rocks and paint them read books to children puppet shows with children role-play center like the kitchencenter and music center and reading center and drama center. Those are so much fun to play with children because you can role play . Also like to sign. I like to communicate in ASL as well I have used it in pre-K and kindergarten first grade and second grade for the bigger kids like third grade to fifth grade. I just use it as an incentive for them to listen using my voice they’ll stop talking and look at me when I’m signing And then they want to know and learn what I’m saying it’s a real attention getting method for them to stop what they’re doing and look at you . I really do like sign language or ASL. Well school like to dance to music by Dr. Jean and I also like Kanga kangaroo guys and I also like Jack Hartman those are all fun videos to dance too.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is, you must always have a patient demeanor, a calm demeanor, and set expectations. Provide the child or children with incentives. Something they need to work towards consequences and boundaries, and one must be sensitive to peoples culture circumstances, and and their families needs.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with autism children who are Down syndrome and children who have speech delays and I’ve also worked with children who had other delays and have use American Sign Language to communicate

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite funny moment was this little special boy who had down syndrome and when he did it want to do something he would always say “ let’s get out of here”
