Experienced in child care and governess for families that needed my help in the past. I now have a schedule that allows me to offer my skills and love for caring for children and running a household. I am an older woman, who have worked for families when I wasnt committed to an office technical job. I am capable of organizing, quick learner of new system and procedures required of me by a family, adept at computing and English Spelling. I have coached adults remotely and in person in a pace that theya re comfortable with. I find cooking an interesting challenge since I was raised aware of the importance of a balanced diet. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a live-in (as well as live-out) nanny for kids around 4-13 years of age. Ive worked as childcare for a beautiful 13-year-old autistic child, whose sense of touch and hearing is extra sharp. I have at times volunteered to do entertainment, I believe twice, for special needs kids and adults.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities is a constant interaction that goes on in the life of a child - a play date, a simple around-the-house game- activity can be limitless. A mere conversation, or ways to develop his communication, interpreting his thoughts, expressions through drawing, words and many other ways he can grow, develop and feel good that someone is listening to him. Basically , usual activities would be: music, reading, story-telling, word games, drawing, preparing lunch (not involving cooking), reading, watching a video of interest, afterwards we do our own review of the video, ask him what he thinks. many more things appropriate, fun and educational one can do with a child who is so curious about life in front of him.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most rewarding part of being a nanny is knowing you are caring for a very special, precious little child, who belongs to a family who loves and appreciated what you do for them because they are able to go to work with utmost peace of mind knowing their child is in very loving, healthy and safe care. and that, knowing that I am a part of the reason the child is learning good things as he is growing up in a happy environment :)

My experience with special needs children...

High functioning special needs. Kids with low mental IQ, with some behavioral issues. ADHD. Asperger/Autism ---- bathing, feeding, dressing them up, driving to school and playdates.....meal preparation.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are when I am observing the pure and yet very smart ways of children -- how they articulate or translate their thoughts with actions of mere expression on their faces.
