The most important part about being a nanny...
Is having patience for the kids. Kids love to test adults especially at a young age and I think it’s super important to have patience because kids sometimes will say and/or do things that can completely catch you off guard but as an adult, I don’t believe in lashing out. I believe in trying to level with the little one no matter how much kicking and screaming is involved from them. I want to give your little one a safe space to express their emotions no matter how big or little is.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was this time I watched my daughter & her friends after school. They were 5 at the time. I would take the 3 of them to the park and watching them together on the play structure just trying to navigate each others feelings, watching the way they played, and the conversations they were having were my favorite times because now they’re all 10. I watched the 3 of them everyday for a whole school year until we got stationed out here in San Francisco. They all live in separate states and countries due to their dads being stationed everywhere else. But every month we find time to FaceTime them and catch up and watching them grow up has been amazing
