More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have gained hands-on experience caring for children through my time working at Southern Day Care during the summer, where I assisted with supervising, engaging, and supporting children in a structured environment. I am also is residency teaching so I have lots of experience in the education field and child management. Additionally, my grandmother operated a certified home-based daycare, where I spent a great deal of time learning how to care for children of different ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy staying active and engaged with children through a variety of fun and meaningful activities. I love incorporating sports and outdoor play to keep kids active and energized, while also supporting their academic growth by helping with homework and encouraging strong study habits. As an English major, I have a passion for reading and enjoy sharing that with children through storytelling and creative learning.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny isn’t just about watching kids, it’s about shaping a child’s daily life in a way that’s safe, supportive, and meaningful. The most important thing is building trust, both with the child and the parents. Without that, nothing else really works. Right behind that is emotional connection. Kids don’t thrive just because their needs are met , they thrive when they feel understood, respected, and cared for. A good nanny knows how to be warm and patient while still setting boundaries.

My experience with special needs children...

have experience working with children who have dyslexia and autism. Through this, I’ve learned how to be patient, adaptable, and supportive in meeting each child’s individual needs. I understand the importance of clear communication, structured routines, and creating a calm, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable and confident. While my experience is focused on these areas, I am always open to learning and expanding my knowledge to better support children with a wide range of needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was seeing how excited a child became after finally understanding something they had been struggling with. I remember helping with homework and taking the time to break things down in a way that made sense to them, and when it finally clicked, their whole face lit up. Moments like that are really special to me because it shows not only growth, but also the trust they have in me to help and support them.
