More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been nannying off and on for 3 different families since 2020. I also lived with and cared for my niece and nephew who are 3 and 5.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

It depends on the age and parents preference, but with the families i’ve work for we spent a lot of time outside. 2 of the boys I’ve cared for played soccer so that took up a lot of time. Other than that; reading, coloring, watching movies.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Objectively the most important thing is making the parents lives a little easier. That’s the whole point of the job to me, taking a weight off parents who need help in todays crazy world. Subjectively the most important thing is that it’s emotionally fulfilling for me personally to work around children.

My experience with special needs children...

I cared for one 5 year old boy with down syndrome. My nephew is in the process of being diagnosed with autism as well. I understand it varies from child to child in regards to what they struggle with; but I am always 100% accommodating to routines and necessary practices.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The first time I ever nannied was for a 6 month old boy. Over time, I taught him how to say some words and eat and do all of the basic things. He even copied my facial expressions. Around 9 months old he took his first steps with me. It was special watching him and all the children I’ve worked for grow in the time I was with them.
