I have been a substitute teacher from 6th grade up to 12th. I have been both a middle and high school coach for volleyball and track. I have babysat for 15 years and have working in a daycare for a little over a year.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Arts and crafts are so much fun to see the creativity of little ones! I also love taking them out to be active and see the enjoyment they get from running around and being goofy!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Teaching and listening. Little humans have huge emotions in little bodies and sometimes the best thing you can do for them is just be patient, loving, and most of all listen and help them try to explain or express whatever emotion they are going through.
Children look at everything around them and mimic and absorb what they see and hear so I think teaching them how to understand their feelings and showing them how to react to things is super important.
