I enjoy playing with children outdoors, to give them time away from the internet and video games. I love interesting with them at the playground/park, splash pad or the pool, and the zoo! Eve indoors, watching movies, or playing board games to get comfortable with one another and just have fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing is trust. I know some parents may be iffy and concerned about leaving their child with a total stranger. So it is very important that the parents and child trust you.
My experience with special needs children...
I cared for special needs children with autism and those who had physical disabilities. They were so loving and kind! I loved working with them and helping them with their confidence! I also helped during feeding and changing times, physical education, and any field trips and outings we did.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is one time, one of the previous families I nannied for, had two beautiful baby girls! They were so affectionate! So every morning around 7 am upon my arrival, they both would run up and hug me as I walked through the door. it made me so happy because it let me know that they were comfortable with me and I made them feel safe.
