I'm a recent college graduate who is planning on attending Columbia University for my masters in School Psychology in the fall. I have over five years of experience working with children both as a nanny and running summer camps. I like to spend time outside, read, and do crafts.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as the director of a summer camp for kids aged 5-10 for two years. Before that I was the assistant director of the same camp as well as the site leader for a playground program for a similar age range. I also worked at an overnight camp with both overnight campers aged 7-15 and day campers aged 3-12. Additionally, I have past nanny experience with two boys aged 1 month-1 year and 6 months -3 years .

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some activities I like to do with kids I watch are: going to the park, exploring nature and taking walks, playing games such as tag, hide and go seek, lava monster, and red light green light. Additionally, I like to read to kids, develop crafts such as working with clay or drawing about our day, and tell stories.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think that as a nanny you have a unique opportunity to show kids that the world can be a fun and safe place. It is important to work with the parents to help expand the child's experiences and teach them new skills as well as giving them memories to look back on.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked as a paraprofessional at Salinas High School. Additionally I have experience working with moderate support needs children with autism and ADHD, children with partial hearing loss, and blind children.
