To me, the most important part about being a babysitter is to ensure the children remain safe and healthy while their parents are away, and ensuring that even if they aren't with their parents 24/7 they still have a fun and positive childhood.

Not exactly in the babysitting moment, but when I was 10-11 helping with infants at my daycare there was this one baby girl who loved me, she was so adorable. About 4-5 years later I was at a playground, and her dad noticed me. My favorite part is seeing children I formerly cared for as infants grow older, seeing what children they've grown in to after leaving my care.
