Since I was about 17 I started doing babysitting side jobs and I also volunteered to work in the nursery and children ministry at a church. I’m currently still going to school for my A.S. Early Childhood Education .

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing art activities with them, it’s a very expressive activity and I find it the best time to build bonds. I also love park days !

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part I would say is the bond. They say children need 5 adult connections in their life time to develop mentally and emotionally . So to me my bond with the child is top priority. Without a bond you can’t help them learn, grow and succeed.

My experience with special needs children...

At the daycare I worked in, I was a teacher to a child with special needs and it happened to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite teacher moment was when 2 friends were arguing over the same toy I interacted with them to calm things down. Well after we talked about things I said so what can we do boys, and one of them said teacher I know what we can do, we can share it and take turns, that way we are both happy . That right there, made my heart light up because it showed me I helped them learn 1. Sharing is caring. 2. Think about others feelings and your own. And 3. His problem solving skills are developing. If I can teach the kids life lesson and help them transition into our society as good people. That’s amazing !
