I've worked with all ages who have had physical challenges as well as mental challenges. Autism and Alzheimers are what I've specialized in over the years. I beleive children thrive in their own home environment overall.
Just the consistency of uninterrupted routines helps with their moods and feelings of security. All of that makes for a calmer centered child.
