I have also cared for children while assisting families with household responsibilities, giving me experience balancing childcare with the needs of a busy home. My experience in cooking and hospitality has also strengthened my ability to prepare nutritious meals, stay organized, manage multiple responsibilities, and create a welcoming environment. Additionally, growing up in a close family with younger siblings gave me early experience helping with and caring for children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include baking together, reading stories, arts and crafts, playing outside, going on walks, exploring nature, and imaginative play. I love creating little moments that make children feel happy, comfortable, and cared for, whether that’s baking cookies together, reading their favorite book for the tenth time, or simply playing and laughing together. I enjoy following each child’s interests and personality, encouraging their curiosity and creativity while giving them the space to be themselves. Most of all, I value creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, listened to, loved, and excited to learn and explore.

The most important part about being a nanny is making a child feel safe, loved, and truly cared for. I believe children need someone they can trust, someone who listens to them, encourages them, and makes them feel comfortable being exactly who they are. I love being there for the little moments—comforting them when they’re having a hard day, celebrating their accomplishments, sharing their laughter, and watching their confidence grow. To me, being a nanny is about building a genuine connection and becoming someone a child feels happy and secure around. I feel incredibly grateful to be welcomed into a family’s life and to have the opportunity to care for their children with the same warmth, patience, and love I would want for my own.

My experience with special needs children...

Two of my cousins have Asperger's syndrome and my sister has severe OCD. They are often unable to communicate their feelings, they need a lot of help with their schoolwork as they are unable to concentrate for very long, and they have difficulty interacting with others.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are the little ones that happen naturally—when a child reaches for my hand, wants me to read their favorite story one more time, or proudly shows me something they’ve created. I especially love those quiet moments when a child feels completely comfortable being themselves around me. Seeing their personality grow, watching their confidence develop, and knowing that they feel safe, loved, and understood in my care is incredibly rewarding. For me, the sweetest moments are often the simplest ones: a big hug at the end of the day, a child laughing until they can’t stop, or hearing, “Can we do that again tomorrow?”
