Play board games , depending on there age, coloring , out door activities like bubbles, side walk chalk drawing on the side walk (if that is okay with the parent(s) , swimming , or just children playing in the water in the summer, reading stories to the children , nap time after lunch , reading a story right before nap time..
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the children are cared for safe and happy , enjoy what there are doing , play is through learning, so having children play and learn something new at the same time is a really important part for the children as they grow.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked at a preschool we had to be more careful with of one preschooler , he had wear something to protect his head , we had watch out if he got over heated too much , watch him even more making sure he was okay not playing too much , letting the other preschoolers aware to be extra careful with him..
