More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I began caring for children at 14, babysitting for local families with little ones ranging from newborns to age eight. Throughout high school, I continued babysitting and also volunteered every Sunday in my father’s church nursery, where I developed a love for nurturing and guiding young children. I’ve worked as both a Preschool Teacher and Teacher’s Aide, first at a preschool program in College Station and later at a private Montessori school in the Austin/Lake Travis area. I’m confident in creating safe, engaging, and developmentally supportive environments for children, and I’m happy to provide references upon request!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
- Arts and crafts such as painting, drawing, or simple DIY projects that spark creativity
- Reading books together and encouraging storytelling or “make-believe” play
- Outdoor adventures like nature walks, playground time, scavenger hunts, or gardening
- Sensory activities like playdough, water play, or themed discovery bins
- Simple baking or snack-making that teaches basic skills and responsibility
- Music and movement such as singing, dancing, or playing instruments together
- Educational play such as puzzles, counting games, or beginner science experiments
- Quiet time activities like journaling, coloring, or mindfulness exercises
- Building and imaginative play like Legos, blocks, or pretend “shops” and “schools”
- Seasonal and holiday crafts that help children learn about the world around them

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a space where children feel safe, seen, and inspired to grow. It’s about balancing structure with warmth; setting consistent routines that help children thrive while allowing room for creativity, curiosity, and play. I believe in being fully present, patient, and intentional in every interaction, because children absorb so much from the energy and example around them. Whether I’m guiding a lesson, exploring outside, or simply helping with daily routines, I see my role as both a caregiver and mentor, someone who nurtures not only their physical needs but also their confidence, imagination, and sense of security.

I'm a recent AmeriCorps Alumni, where I had just spent a year in Colorado servicing both at the elementary school and the Boys and Girls Club there.
I'm quite childlike myself and enjoy doing arts and crafts with kids- I've even discovered my own love for origami while working with kids at the BGC.
I like to make every day things fun when I'm with kids, like cutting snacks into fun shapes or making a bedtime routine into a little game.
It's my goal to first, be safe, and second, make sure to bring a smile to your child's face.
