I am currently a teacher's assistant at a daycare where I have been at almost a year. My primary classroom is with 1 year old's, but I am also often put in rooms with kids ages 6mon-5years old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite outdoor activity with the kids at my work is when we are able to go outside and play with the water. It's a great way to cool off as well as the kids learn new things. Whether it be washing baby dolls or just splashing the kids always have a great time! Indoor wise I love to read books to the kids. It is always so fun when they kids have a favorite book and I am able to use new voices to keep them interested and excited!
My experience with special needs children...
There are multiple children at my daycare who are special needs, and while currently none are in my designated room, I often find myself helping in other classrooms!
