I have extensive experience working with and caring for children through my work in an elementary school setting. In my school role, I’ve worked closely with students of different ages and personalities, helping support their daily needs, safety, routines, and overall well-being.

I’m comfortable working with children in a busy school environment, communicating with families and staff, handling unexpected situations calmly, and creating a safe and positive environment for children. I’m also responsible, patient, organized, and comfortable helping with everyday routines, activities, meals, and keeping children engaged.

In addition to my professional experience, I’ve also gained childcare experience through helping care for children within my family and personal life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is making sure a child feels safe, cared for, and comfortable while their parents are away. Building trust with both the child and the family is really important to me. I also think being patient, dependable, attentive, and understanding is key. Every child is different, so I believe it’s important to meet them where they are, learn their personality and routines, and make sure they feel supported while still having fun and being themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite experiences with children has been watching my little brother grow up. I’ve helped care for him since he was little, and now that he’s turning 5, it’s so special seeing his personality, independence, and confidence develop.

I also had the opportunity to build meaningful connections with children through my previous job as a School Nurse Assistant/office staff at an elementary school. Being around students every day, helping with their needs, supporting them when they weren’t feeling well, and getting to know their individual personalities was something I truly enjoyed. Seeing children feel comfortable with me and knowing they trusted me was one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
