Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have baby sat for my sister in the past while she was at work. She has 3 little boys and I kept them entertained by playing with cars and hide and go seek. I later made them lunch and set them for a nap at around 1:30PM.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy pretend-play with children, such as with dolls, puppets, reading, toy cars, and even board games. If a child is too young to walk or is still learning, peekaboo is a great game for them as it helps build object permanence. Rattles are another excellent activity to do as they aid in color recognition and fine motor skills. If a child is old enough to run and go outside, visiting the park or playing games outdoors is always fun, as long as the weather is suitable.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a friend who has two younger siblings age 9 (girl) and 5 (boy) who have developmental delays and autism. I often look after them with her when her mother go out for work, and they can both be difficult and not listen at times when they get excited.
