Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love being outdoors so anytime we can get outside I like to take the kids to the park, go for walks, play in the backyard and go swimming.
Some indoor activities I like doing with children are arts and crafts, reading, drawing, coloring, board games and playing with toys and puzzles.
I also encourage children to find things they love doing and I follow their lead. I've had children who loved arts and crafts; we painted pumpkins, used pipes and fun shaped buttons to create necklaces, made pictures with colorful tape, decorated construction paper and played a game called spider with yarn.

The most important part about being a nanny is getting the opportunity to watch a child grow, find their passion and pursue their dreams. Children are the future and being able to help teach them is a true blessing.

I was a nanny for these two children and the older one was 5 and in 1st grade. He had been having trouble in school because his peers were upsetting him and one day before he went to school I told him a story from when I was a little girl.
I told him how I used to act up in school because I was scared when my mom would leave me. I explained to him that she taught me to take deep breaths when I start to get upset and that it worked really well for me. He went to school that morning saying he would try it. When he got home later that day his mom had messaged me and said he had a good day at school and could play his games. When he got off the bus I asked how his day was and he told me, "It was really good. I breathed deep when I was upset and it made me feel better."
It made me so happy to know that I was able to help him and I haven't forgotten the experience since.
