Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have babysat for many families in my neighborhood (Lorien Woods in Chagrin Falls). I have also been referred to other families within the Chagrin Falls/Kenston area. I have babysat children from the ages of 3-13. I have also coached volleyball and have been responsible for running day camps with children ages 5-15. I am the oldest of my siblings and all my cousins on both sides of my family and am very regularly put in charge! I also work for a nonprofit that provides educational tools to elementary students in developing countries. I really love kids!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I think that I am a very creative nanny and can cater to both girls and boys needs. I think being outside in the summer is very important and would love to take the kids for walks, go to the park, and come up with fun games outside for them to play. I also understand that some parents find a lot of academic importance over the summer and can surely cater to those needs as well. I think I can find plenty of activities to do indoors as well such as arts and crafts or board games.
My experience with special needs children...
I have very limited experience. However I have run a few volleyball camps catered to kids specifically with special needs and I do have family members with special needs that I have been around my whole life.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love babysitting this one specific family down the street and I think my favorite has to be taking their youngest son to soccer practice and him holding my hand on the way to the car to go home! I feel like family to them.
