Hello! I’m Julie, a 26-year old college graduate with a passion for childcare and education. I have over a decade of childcare experience, including 4 consecutive years of full time nannying. I specialize in care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I have two years of experience with multiples (from nanny shares). I am CPR certified, have my own safe and reliable car, and have a clean background record. I am punctual, while maintaining flexibility based on your needs. Compassion and imagination drive my childcare style. I have a deep passion for creating safe educational environments for children, setting a foundation in their early childhood that allows them to develop an enthusiasm for learning for the rest of their lives. I emphasize healthy emotional and social development through techniques inspired by early-childhood Waldorf and Montessori philosophies.

I provide opportunities for children to engage in a variety of activities to help them develop physically, mentally, and emotionally. Time spent at home may include reading, music, dancing, puzzles, tactile/sensory play, games, and art. Activities outside the home may include going to playgrounds, the zoo, the aquarium, nature walks, the science center, the children’s museum, libraries, or any other programs you would like your children to attend.

I am currently searching for a family to join our nanny share. I nanny an active, intelligent, sweet 20-month-old boy. We have been part of a wonderful nanny share for the past year, but one family is transitioning their child into daycare in January. Our ideal match would have a child between 18-30 months, and live in the Magnolia/Queen Anne/Ballard area. Our schedule is 8:30-5:30, M-F.
