I have also been a volunteer at YMCA Camp Seymour as a camp counselor for the last two years and help out as an elementary school volunteer regularly:)

The most important part about being a nanny/babysitter is making sure your kids are safe, comfortable, and having fun! I really focus on making sure kids are feeling supported in their environments. Using communication and patience to build a good relationship with the child and family is key.

My favorite activities with kids are arts and crafts or music related, and I love singing lullabies at nap time:) I also absolutely love when kids make me any type of letter or art. The last time I was a camp counselor all of the kids in my group made the cutest cards with things they really enjoyed from camp and told me how much they appreciated me as a counselor. I was so happy that they all had a good time, and I still read over those letters every once in a while:)
