A little bit about me

Hi my name is Julz, was raised in the PNW with two younger brothers. I am a dancer who loves all things adventure and water.

I completed my masters in 2023 and since then I've been living in Hawaii, California, and Nevada. I have worked primarily in the summer camp/outdoor education setting caring for children of all ages.

Passionate about getting kids outdoors and exploring this amazing island.

I have experience caring for children with different abilities and special needs. Have mored for the YMCA for several years taking care of infants to adults.

I love to cook and organize. Meal preparation is a blast to me and I enjoy making things homemade whenever possible. Also high level of skills in family management and schedule coordination, specifically in managing children’s extracurriculars.

I am a certified lifeguard and swim instructor in addition to being ACCT certified (rock climbing, ziplining, and high ropes courses).

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as camp counselor, outdoor education instructor, lifeguard, swim instructor, tutor, babysitter, nanny, kids rock climbing instructor.

I have been volunteering for the YMCA for over 10 years and formally working for them on and off for the last seven years. Additionally I've been a babysitter/nanny for numerous families throughout Washington and Oregon.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am passionate about getting kids outdoors and active.

I believe water safety if very important and a skill children needs. I love taking kids on daily walks and finding new parks as well as other free/low-cost activities.

As a kid I grew up baking and cooking, I enjoy doing that with kids I nanny for. I also did just about every sport growing up and if I didn't my brothers did.

Arts and crafts are also a blast with kids and simply spending time being a kid and exploring.
