Hi! My name is Kadence Smith and I am 20-years-old. I attended the University of Oregon for two years but recently returned to the Bay Area to complete my psychology studies in-state. With a passion for helping others, I plan to earn a Masters in Nursing and work in Pediatrics. I absolutely adore childcare and have experience babysitting children from ages 2-11 years old! I take pride in forming essential connections with each child and parent, ensuring a supportive environment that satisfies every family's specific needs. I am mainly looking for after-school opportunities; however, I am always willing to assist in weekend or morning care.

I enjoy any activity that engages my creativity–baking, crafting scrapbooks, and exploring new places on my hikes. From [phone number hidden], I babysat for my family friends as need and helped care for their Elementary school son. Along with attending to his safety, I helped with household chores, his studies, play/outdoor time, and meals!
In 2021, I looked after two twin girls as needed who were two years in age! We loved to cook together, have dance parties, go to the park, and color. During nap or bed time, I helped to pick up the house and ensure that our day’s activities were all cleaned up!
In high school, I supported Elementary school students in their studies with the Healthy Cities Tutoring organization.

The most vital part about being a nanny is ensuring their safety and welfare. Embracing the rules of each family, and understand the specific needs of the children is extremely important as it provides consistency and compassion. It is also crucial to provide the children with great experiences and fun, whether that is going outside, playing games, or learning new things such as baking!

My favorite nanny moment was making a bouquet with the children. They wanted to surprise their parents and started collecting flowers in the yard and at the park. I bought two vases for the girls to paint, decorate, and put the beautiful flowers in. The parents were enamored by their gift and put the bouquets right by the front window!
