A little bit about me

i’m kaitlyn, a college student back home for the summer looking for work. i genuinely love kids — like it’s not just something i say. they always tend to warm up to me pretty quickly and i really enjoy being around them.
i’m studying psychology which has honestly given me a good base for understanding how kids think and what they need at different ages. i also have a minor in theatre arts with a concentration in costume design, so i’m super creative — i love making things, coming up with games, doing crafts, that kind of stuff. kids seem to really respond to that energy.
i’m reliable, present, and i take it seriously when someone trusts me with their kid. i’m not the type to just sit on my phone — i’m actually engaged and having fun with them.

Cared for a 1-year-old and a 6-year-old girl for a friend’s family, and have experience with infants in the 6–11 month range. I’m also studying child psychology in college which informs how I approach childcare.

Arts and crafts, reading, imaginative play, outdoor activities, and music. I love finding creative ways to keep kids engaged while making sure they feel safe and comfortable.

Building trust — with the child and the family. Kids thrive when they feel safe, seen, and loved, and parents need to know their little one is in good hands.

While I don’t have direct experience with special needs children, my studies in child psychology have given me a strong foundation in child development and diverse learning styles. I’m patient, adaptable, and always willing to learn.

Watching a child light up when they finally figure something out on their own — whether it’s a puzzle, a new word, or a new skill. Those little wins are everything.
