More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have years of experience with children in many different settings. My mother owns a photography studio where I spent my four years in High School assisting her on the weekends. There, I assisted handling newborns and making children from the ages 2 weeks to 15 years feel welcome and comfortable while getting their photo taken. My job was to pose and make the children smile! I also have a lot of experience babysitting for multiple different families with children varies in ages throughout the past 5 years. As an Education student, I student taught in several schools, working with mainly Pre-K through Second graders! Last summer I also worked at a Montessori school that had children from infants to Kindergarteners.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy playing outside with children whether it's with chalk or at a park. I also enjoy indoor activities like playing with dolls or action figures, coloring, going swimming, and reading to the children. I am really up to anything!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being a nanny is a huge responsibility. Making sure the children are safe and well-cared for is a very big part of being a nanny. Also, children will rely on me and my opinions, so I believe it is extremely important that I am a good role model at all times.
My experience with special needs children...
Working as a Building Substitute Teacher I have had multiple experiences working with special need children in the classroom. I’ve learned a lot from my coworkers and came to love to work with children with special needs!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when the kids run up to me when I arrive giving me warm hugs and asking what fun things I have planned for the day.

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Kent, OH: Julia J.
I am a Kent State student who will be moving there from Medina in the fall to pursue my goal of becoming a high school language arts teacher! In the meantime, I have done a lot of child care work already. I have been babysitting fir about 10 years. I have done student teaching for grades 4-12. I am currently an employee at Right at School in Brunswick, a before and after school care program for kindergarten through fifth graders. I also have younger sisters and family members, so while I am used to school aged children, I am open to infants as well. I went to the career center for their medical program and was first aid and CPR certified (along with several other certifications). As long as a family is willing to work around school, my schedule is very open. I am so excited to move to Kent and find a great family to nanny for!
