Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve been a preschool teacher at ThePREP in Stone Oak! I had to unfortunately resign due to needing more flexibility for my schooling! At the school we created lesson plans, prepped lunches and snack time, created fun games indoors and outdoors, while also helping learn colors, shapes and fine motor skills.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Playing peek-a-boo with babies is my favorite when I get to hear their contagious laughs! For the older kiddos I love to play tag or freeze dance! The occasional tickle fight and piggy back rides around the house because they think grown ups are horses! Outside, playing at the park or with any kind of animals is always good fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is that all the kiddos have the best time when they’re with me! I love to hear laughs and see big smiles :)
My experience with special needs children...
I was a sitter for my baby cousin who has Williams Syndrome! He is such a hoot but needs a lot more attention ruin than most other kiddos his age. We would play silly faces games and a lot of snack times. He used a lot of educational videos in order to help him sound out his words or play games that would get him to know his shapes and colors even though he was nonverbal!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is when we’re out doing an activity and other families can see how happy the kiddos truly are and how much fun they’re having while in my care!
