A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Kaitlyn, I’m 19 and I live in Greenwood with my sister and my best friend just recently moved in to help with rent. I have two 2 cats and a dog, they’re actually my sisters so I’m technically the aunt. Im on my way of trying to get my masters in nursing and I started my first year last January but I failed my classes Bc I was working 3 jobs at the time to pay my bills. I have a job right now working at the movies but right now winter is coming so the movies are getting slower and I’m losing hours. I’m trying to earn a little extra money for my bills and I love working with kids. I’m really good with them I helped raised my younger two siblings and my niece. I also use to volunteer every day for the summer working with kids ages from 6-17. Im really friendly and respectful. My friends and family have told me I would be a great mom by the way I care for my niece and nephew. My niece is 2 years old and my nephew is 1 year old.

I used to work for boys and girls club over the summer so I have experience with kids from 6-18. I also babysit my brothers kids often when he’s working and they’re 2 and 5

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts with kids it’s so fun to see what they come up with because kids are creative. I love being outside with them and just caring for them in general like they were my own child. All kinds of activities, coloring, drawing, reading a book, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love being with kids, they bring so much joy to my day. I can’t wait til I’m older to have a couple but for right now I just care for others kids. Growing up I’ve always wanted to work with children whether it be starting my own daycare, teacher, or now a pediatric nurse. I also had to take care of my younger siblings and i loved every minute of it

My experience with special needs children...

I haven’t worked with many special needs children but while I was at boys and girls club I cared for a couple but I wasn’t on my own so I had help. I would prefer not to care for any just because I’m not comfortable caring for them. I know they need a lot more work than other children and I don’t know if I’m capable to handle that.
