A little bit about me

My name is Kaiya Taylor, I am 21 years old and just left my second year at Iowa Western Community College to move to Chattanooga due to the loss of my mama. I sadly said see ya later to a dream family i nannied for full time.(1y.o boy and 6y.o girl) Besides that I was highly involved at my school being on honor roll and being a collegiate cheerleader aswell! I absolutely love working with kids! I’ve taught kids ages 1-5 in a childcare program at my church for four years and just recently stopped due to leaving for college, along with that I worked at a daycare for over a year where i taught the infants class for 8 months and shortly after taught kinder and above so children aging 5+. I love kids and know the basic and advanced milestones to encourage kids to excel past “normal” expectations. Otherwise I am the second oldest of 5 girls and have grown up babysitting. I am also CPR and First Aid certified by the Red Cross.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything they find fun that’s appropriate! I love crafts and diy projects, growing up with adhd I became the queen of sensory toys, and finding enjoyable things i could concentrate on. I love outdoors, crafts, building forts, singing and making up dances, fighting dinosaurs or saving princesses whatever i need to be i’ll be a pro at! Other things I enjoy are baking, and really sitting and listening or getting to know kids I love being able to reinforce loving yourself to kids and encouraging them to unapologetically be themselves! I can meet any kid and help them have fun regardless of any situation! Not able to watch tv? we will still have a grand time, I love kids and they’re happiness and safety will always be my priority!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is leaving an impact on whatever kids i come into contact with, baby- teenager, i want to express the importance of happiness and love! I completely believe if everyone loved a little more the world would be a better place, and even while the world is crazy that everyone here was born for a reason, everyone has purpose, and that you are beautiful or handsome exactly how you are! I feel as if self love is so strong it’s almost medicinal, it calms you when you’re stressed it helps you put your situation into perspective even at the youngest age! I love to love on people and have a big heart i love to listen and get the opportunity to see each person as a unique individual and that is what i wish everyone took pride in! Something i always tell my younger sister is “There is only one you in the world, act like it” Show off your smile and laugh, speak your mind because there is only one like it in the entire universe! My experience with special needs children...

My granny is a foster parent and i have an adopted Aunt with special needs, i have been close to Lizzy my entire life and my heart for people is so big no matter what’s going on! I truly believe and live by the thought a person is a person who is deserving of patients, kindness, love, and happiness no matter what! I’d love to work with any kiddo having special needs or not it wouldn’t change the amount of care or love i have for them!
