My experience with special needs children...
I have yet to work specifically with anyone special needs under the age of 19, but i have assisted my mom in her caregiving duties for two special needs women, 19 & 23. My experience includes keeping them on a schedule (i.e. lunch time, their medicine if needed, when to change their pull up if needed, etc.) doing activities with them like coloring, making necklaces (things within their ability).
