I have cared for children in a number of ways throughout the years.
When it comes to babysitting, I have babysat for many families in my area. I enjoy providing a fun, safe environment for children. Most of my experience lies in helping with homework, feeding and changing young children and toddlers, and providing a fun, safe presence for the child. I am happy to do activities with children as opposed to screen time.
I volunteered in the nursery at a local church for many years. During this time, I would watch primarily infants and toddlers. I would help with playtime, potty time, and would feed the children if needed.
I also was in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in high school as a Big Sister. During this time, I would travel to the middle school once a week and provide guidance and homework assistance to my buddy among other things.
