Hi! Im Kandace and I’m 33 years old. I've been married for 13 years & have 2 daughters who are 7 and 10. In my downtime, I enjoy reading and listening to audiobooks, painting/drawing, writing, and playing sports. I love being outside and doing anything that involves being active. I currently work as a Teacher’s Aid for a Special Education 3rd-6th grade class.
I was previously a preschool teacher for 3 years and I’m going to school for a degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Development. I have a passion for working with children and connecting with families.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Aside from babysitting family and friend's children from the age of 11 and being a mom of 2, I have also been a preschool teacher since May 2022 and previously worked in a daycare caring for children from infancy to age 2. I also have experience as a part-time nanny to multiple children ages 2-6.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I believe children learn best through play. I really enjoy hands on activities and outdoor play, along with pretend play where they are able to use their imagination and be silly. I’m very creative and love fostering creativity in children. I also enjoy cooking activities because it is a good way to teach nutrition and useful skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think it is extremely important to form a bond with children to help them feel safe, secure and loved. Children need reassurance as much as adults do, so its pertinent to remind them how much they are loved.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a 5-year-old minimally verbal Autistic nephew who I have helped care for. I have also had children on the spectrum in my preschool classroom.
