A little bit about me

Hi my name is Kara. I am 19 years old and I am a sophomore at cossatot community college. I Have played multiple sports all of my life but mainly softball. While in high school I was involved with many clubs such as Athletics, Beta Club, and Skills USA. I am also a medical completer and an Honor Graduate. I have my CPR and First Aid Certifications, as well as my Technical Certification In Health Professions . I plan to further my education in the medical field and eventually become a Nurse Practitioner. I am currently employed at the Fish Bowl on weekend nights and at Walmart during the weekdays. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently in college inspiring to become a nurse practitioner. Thus far I have received my CPR certification, my AED certification, and also my Technical Certification in Health Professions. I have been the caretaker of children multiple times before from newborns through young teenagers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Disney movies are my personal favorite past time while we are indoors, but I also do have an artist side (not very great at it but the kids don’t know that). I have also played sports all of my life so I would love to go outside and practice any of those sports with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part about being a nanny is helping the parents give as much love and attention to the child as I can. I know that the parents are trying so hard to get all of their daily tasks done and just could use a little help with home life. Yes, the child does need structure and stability but they also need a friend, and that’s what I hope that I can be to your children and to you!
