More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked with 3 children they are aged 16, 15, and 8 now. I have been with them since birth until this day. The 16 year old is an African American girl she graduates High School this year and plans on becoming a doctor. The 15 year old is a boy and he is scheduled to graduate High School next year. He is African American. He plans on becoming an engineer. The youngest is 8 she is a African American mixed with Haitian female, and doing well in the third grade this year.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

swimming, bike riding, reading, writing, poetry, plays,arts & crafts and music. I have help children with student government, editorial staff at school, science clubs, basketball, foot ball, soccer and cheer leading.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being present in and at all times is the most important part of a child's life or experience. These kids look for strength, guidance, love, encouragement and support. Nannies are a child's role model. They help shape their personality, moral and ethical standards in life.

My experience with special needs children...

The African American male I help raise was diagnosed with autism at age 2. He has progressed with speech therapy, motor function skills therapy and emotional support to a functional level graded age appropriate . To this date he has developed to reach off the spectrum status and is graduating High School next year and plans on pursing a career in engineering. He is considered age appropriate in all areas at this time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Besides the graduations from kindergarten, elementary, and High School I have witnessed these children develop from babies unto viable young adults with bright futures and aspirations totally functional, productive, thriving members of society.
