More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked as a nanny for a wonderful family for five years, caring for three children who were 8 months, 5 years, and 8 years old when I started. During that time, I gained extensive experience supporting children at different stages of development—from feeding and diapering an infant to helping with schoolwork, routines, and creative play for older kids. My responsibilities included preparing meals, school drop-offs and pick-ups, planning fun and educational activities, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment. I also helped with light housekeeping to support the family’s daily needs. Over the years, I built a strong bond with the children and their parents by being reliable, patient, and fully committed to their care and well-being.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I truly enjoy engaging children in a variety of fun, creative, and educational activities that support their growth and development. I love reading stories, teaching ABCs and numbers through songs and play, and encouraging early literacy with daily practice. Arts and crafts, music, and dancing are some of my favorite ways to spark creativity, while outdoor play, park outings, and interactive games help children stay active and explore their world. I also enjoy planning sensory activities, puzzles, and age-appropriate projects that promote problem-solving and developmental milestones. Whether it’s cooking simple recipes together, building imaginative play scenarios, or providing nurturing support during tummy time and early learning, I find joy in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where children can thrive.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in my care. Children depend on us to create a secure environment where they can explore, learn, and grow with confidence. For me, that means being attentive at all times, anticipating potential risks, and maintaining a safe space both at home and outdoors. Safety is not only about preventing accidents but also about building trust—children and parents should feel reassured knowing I am responsible, alert, and prepared to handle any situation. By prioritizing safety first, I can give children the freedom to thrive while giving parents peace of mind.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when one of the babies I cared for started crawling for the very first time. We had been spending lots of time on the floor together, practicing tummy time, encouraging movement with toys, and cheering on even the smallest progress. I’ll never forget the excitement on their face when they finally coordinated their little arms and legs and made it across the play mat. Sharing that milestone with the parents, and knowing I had a hand in creating a safe and supportive environment that helped them get there, was incredibly rewarding. It’s moments like these that make me love being a nanny—celebrating growth, building confidence, and being part of such meaningful steps in a child’s development.
