A little bit about me

Am compassionate about caring for young children. I retired from the State of Nevada where i worked in social services. My job entailed assisting young parents with educational opportunities that would allow them to become self sufficient. Early retirement allowed me to travel and learn from other cultures. I did volunteer work with local Animal rescues but felt I needed more purpose. I decided to pair my love of children into a part time position as a nanny which has been extremely rewarding. I have been with my family for almost 3 years. They were seeking someone that would serve as a surrogate grandparent as the biological grandparents live out of State. I keep the boys busy with activities that are safe and engaging. This can include baking banana bread or hiking in Galena where we collect leaves and pinecones to identify and use for craft projects. The pandemic has caused us to think out of the box but has not stopped our ability to learn from engaging with the world we live in.

I have a degree in social work and was in charge of creating curriculum used by the state of California on parenting newborn and toddlers. I also have several local physicians that will provide references.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything outdoors from blowing bubbles to taking long walks to the park. Also love utilizing the kid Zone.

Being able to provide parents with the peace of mind that I wanted for my own child as a toddler.
