My experience with special needs children...
I’ve interacted with children who were non-verbal and on the spectrum! I had two in my class at one point and i felt like i was a translator for them! Nobody understood their language expect me. After awhile, one of the kids said “i love you” very clearly to me and it brought tears to my eyes!
