Hi! I’m Karlie and I’ve been caring for children for 10+ years! I'm currently living in Laguna Niguel and am contemplating on leaving my current position. I started babysitting at the age of 13, I started nannying full time at 19, I’ve worked in assistant teaching, and I’ve studied early childhood development at Brigham Young University - Idaho. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was an assistant teacher at The Goddard School Day Care in Illinois for a full year. I have also nannied for 3 different families throughout the last 3 years. I've been babysitting since I was 13 years old and have lots of experience with a various different ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love catering towards what the child(ren) likes best. For example, in a previous nanny position I took care of 3 boys and they loved going to the beach and playing sports. So during the summer I had with them all we did was go to different beaches and play basketball in the drive way, swim in the pool, play soccer or football, you name it.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is being that comforting and reliable figure for both the children and parents.

My experience with special needs children...

When I worked as an assistant teacher in a day care I worked lightly with two 5-year-old boys who had autism.

In my current job, one of the children I take care of is 5 years old and has high functioning autism. I’ve worked side by side with his ABA therapist so I consider myself very experienced and educated with autism.
