More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience caring for children both professionally and through my own family. I have worked as a paid nanny, providing childcare and helping with day-to-day routines, activities, meals, and keeping the kids entertained and engaged. I also have many years of experience helping care for my younger brother, which has given me the opportunity to grow up around and care for children at different ages.
Throughout high school, I also worked as a teacher’s aide, where I gained experience working with children in a classroom setting. I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and love being someone they can feel comfortable around while still keeping them safe, engaged, and on a routine.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite activities are usually the ones that get kids up, moving, and having fun! When the weather is nice, I love getting outside for walks, riding bikes, playing with chalk, or finding an excuse to get out of the house and enjoy the day. When we’re stuck inside, I love coloring, playing with their favorite toys, doing crafts, or playing games. Since I worked as a teacher’s aide, I’ve gotten pretty good at coming up with fun, creative crafts and activities that keep kids engaged.
I try to keep screen time to a minimum because I think there are so many fun ways to keep kids entertained without a screen. I love getting creative, following their interests, and finding activities that make them excited to play and learn!

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a strong relationship with both the child and their family. Trust has to go both ways. I want parents to feel completely comfortable leaving their children with me and knowing that they are safe, cared for, and having a good time. At the same time, I want to feel comfortable in their home and understand their expectations, routines, and what works best for their family.
I think mutual respect and clear communication are what make a nanny-family relationship successful. I never want there to be confusion or misunderstandings, so I believe in being open, honest, and communicative from the beginning. At the end of the day, I want to feel like a trusted extension of the family—not just someone who is there to watch the kids.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with autism, Asperger’s, and learning disabilities. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that every child is different, and you have to be willing to work at their pace. Patience, understanding, and encouragement are incredibly important. I never want a child to feel discouraged or like they are different from the other kids around them.
I understand that some days can be more challenging than others, and children may become frustrated when something isn’t coming easily to them. In those moments, I believe it’s important to remain calm, patient, and focused on what the child needs. My priority is always making sure they feel supported, understood, and confident while giving them the time and attention they need to succeed.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite part of nannying is walking through the door and having the kids be just as excited to see me as I am to see them. I love when kids get comfortable enough with you to be completely themselves, whether that means showing you their favorite toy, telling you about their day, or asking you to play their favorite game for the hundredth time. Getting to build those relationships and eventually feeling like a part of the family is one of the things I cherish most.
