Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have had various nannying and babysitting gigs I’ve had over the last 7 years here in the Reno/Sparks area for multiple families and all ages. I have also worked in various educational settings from Sunday school to Kindergarten classrooms to daycare centers. Recently I also became a Children’s Cabinet friends and family provider and am a member of Nevada Registry. Note: I do NOT want a job through children's cabinet at this time but I am open to using a payroll service.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m Montessori-esque care giving. While I have no formal training I encourage independence, exploration, and creative problem solving with the kids I watch and even already with my toddler son. While your child is in my care you can expect your kiddo to have fun cooking, playing outside, doing arts and crafts, having dance parties etc. If you have you need care for a child close in age with my son I look forward to creating sensory play stations for them to share!

The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part of caregiving for children is being a safe big human for little humans to come to as they need help navigating this scary world. I want all the kids I work with to feel loved, heard, and comfortable when they are in my care.
My experience with special needs children...
I am currently not in a place to provide an adequate level of care for a child with special needs. If your child has certain medication needs because they are diabetic or epileptic I able to manage that and am familiar with both.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Most recently the girl I watch has started to put two word sentences together. It is incredibly rewarding and a privilege to watch her little brain grow as she learns to communicate. Nothing beats the feeling of present for and/or helping facilitate milestones in children’s lives.
